Hypnotherapy FAQs
Do I lose control under hypnosis? ➢ No. Hypnosis is a relaxed but alert state – you have a heightened awareness. You’re aware the whole time and can speak, move, or pause the session whenever you choose. Hypnotherapy can not override Free Will.
What if I can’t be hypnotised?
➢ Most people can be hypnotised – it’s a natural state, similar to daydreaming, zoning out or losing time when engrossed in an activity. You don’t need to go into a deep trance for transformation to happen. In fact, most sessions work through gentle relaxation and awareness, while still accessing the subconscious.
In your first session, we’ll also explore your dominant sense – whether you see, feel, hear, sense or just know, which supports deeper work like Regression and Ancestral Healing.
How many sessions will I need? ➢ This varies from person to person. Some people experience a powerful shift in 1 or 2 sessions, while others benefit from ongoing support. I recommend starting with 3-6 sessions to allow for deeper integration and momentum. More sessions invite deeper levels of healing – a peeling of the onion layers so to speak.
How is Soul Based Hypnotherapy different from traditional hypnotherapy? ➢ Soul Based Hypnotherapy goes beyond symptom relief to address the deeper spiritual and energetic roots of imbalance. It honours your soul’s journey and innate wisdom, often integrating past life work, higher guidance, or energy healing for a more holistic transformation.
Is Hypnotherapy safe? ➢ Yes, when guided by a qualified and ethical practitioner, hypnotherapy is very safe. I’m a Clinical Hypnotherapist (ASCH) with extensive experience in trauma-informed, soul aligned practice. Your emotional safety and empowerment are always my priority.

Is it possible to heal something I can’t consciously remember? ➢ Yes – and this is one of the gifts of hypnotherapy. What happens if something painful comes up during a session? ➢ You are never alone in the process. If something painful arises, we move through it gently and at your pace. I hold a safe, compassionate space for whatever wants to be seen, felt, or released – with no pressure or force. Sessions are guided by your own inner wisdom, and I always prioritise emotional safety, grounding and integration. Healing can be powerful without being overwhelming.
What if I don’t feel anything during the session – does that mean it didn’t work? ➢ Not at all. Everyone experiences hypnotherapy differently. Some people feel strong emotions or visuals, while others feel subtle shifts, deep calm, or even nothing noticeable at all during the session. Often, the real integration happens in the days or weeks afterward, through new insights, emotional releases, or unexpected clarity. Trust that your subconscious is always working, even if the effects unfold quietly.
Is hypnotherapy a quick fix or magic wand? ➢ No – hypnotherapy isn’t a magic wand, and it’s not about “fixing” you.
